X-ray and contaminant detection

X-ray and contaminant detection

X-ray machines are designed for automatic, real-time detection of solid contaminants in bulk, packaged and unpackaged products. They offer high sensitivity detection of contaminated products.

Unlike metal detectors, X-ray machines are used in product applications with aluminium and plastic packaging because X-ray machines have the ability to detect dense contaminants such as glass, metal, stones, bone, high density plastics. These devices can detect contaminants in the product regardless of their size, shape or location in the packaged products, even with film or foil packaging. The technology of the X-ray equipment is not affected by changes in temperature or humidity, which reduces false rejections to a minimum. Depending on the model, they can have multi-channel rejection groups, and thanks to their highly efficient generators and customised sensors, they provide us with safe and reliable equipment.

There are different models depending on the application and products to be detected, such as for bottles or cans, bulk products, large pallet sizes, liquid or pasty products through pipes, etc.
