King Abdullah City , Saudi Arabia (KAEC)

Masiste installs a concrete batching plant for the construction of KAEC. It is a large-scale project that started in 2005 in Saudi Arabia. This future city will be located along the Red Sea, about 100 km north of Jeddah. With a total urban area of 168 km², the city will be located between the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina and the commercial core of Jeddah. It will have huge buildings and skyscrapers and will be one of the most important cities in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The cost of the project is approximately 100 billion riyals, or 26.6 billion US dollars. The city is expected to serve as an economic epicentre for Saudi youth. The city’s basic access routes will be a port with an annual capacity of 10 million TEU containers, an international airport and a railway connecting major cities in Saudi Arabia.
